The first thing I noticed once I got onto the Main Menu was that the control response was awfully slow compared to today's standards. When I got into the actual game itself, the first thing I noticed was that the graphics looked like they came straight out of Half-Life, there was no feeling or realism to them except that they had some form of 3D. Come on people! If your going to make a game today, at least make it with some kick ass graphics!
But upon completing the first level, the one and only good part of the game appeared, the story line. Yes the story line! How used are we all to playing games that your always the chosen one? The one who will save everyone and return piece to the land? Well, not in this game, your saving your own hide, you have to find an antidote for a disease that was implanted in your body years ago. But, back to the actual game itself?
Well, as I kept progressing in the game, I kept noticing over and over that the camera angle just SUCKED! I have never played a game with a worst camera! Never! It always positioned me so I couldn't see properly (Which usually resulted in death). And whenever you repositioned the camera, it would just move right back to the horrible view so they're See through walls? glitch isn't noticed, well guess what? I noticed!
I spent a week playing this game, mind you I only spent this long because I wanted to beat it for you guys, but I couldn't bring myself to play it, it was that bad. But I did beat it, and let me tell you, I've never been more disappointed in a game? This game would only be attractive to the hardcore fans of X-Men, I?m not, but why did I play it then? Because it is my job to play and review games so I can get out an honest opinion on the game before those other reviewers can load your head with it being a great game.
If it weren't for the shotty graphics, the horrible fight controls, the horrendous camera, or the being shot before you scene; this would be a pretty decent game. Now, you don't have to take my word for it, but don't waste your money to even rent this game unless you're a fan of the X-Men, if you are a fan, you have my condolences because your about to be quite disappointed.
And I nearly forgot the bugs, yes, bugs. This game is chock full of them, at one point in the game if you fall in a certain liquid the game would crash and you'd have to start from your last save. But that's all from me for now, despite bad games like this, happy gaming everyone.
